Quality Manager

With this Quality Commitment in mind, we’re seeking an individual to lead not only the Quality Department but the whole company in cultivating a commitment to continuous improvement. Reporting to the President, this individual will be responsible for managing the Company’s quality system. They will work closely with the plant staff, engineering and sales personnel. The scope of the position includes supervising quality inspection as well as corrective action and vendor performance evaluations consistent with ISO 9001 standards. This position is also responsible for SPC, hands-on manufacturing issues, defect collection and mil specification.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: · BS/BA degree with 8 – 10 years of experience in quality assurance positions, including 3 - 5 years in quality management. · ISO 9001 management experience with ASQC certification a plus. · Implemented Six Sigma Quality program. · Been involved with supplier certification, supplier reduction and preferred supplier programs. · Instituted continuous process improvement programs. · A customer focused background including customer surveys and visits. · ISO registration and procedural compliance (ISO 9001:2000 and 14001:2004) · Supervisory skills to oversee quality personnel. · Familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly processes.
